The QuikLok A-341 Short Tripod Microphone Stand is designed for low-profile microphone placement on kick drums, amplifier cabinets, etc. The stand features a sturdy tripod base and an adjustable height of 16.5 to 19.25" (41.9 to 48.9cm). The attached boom features a variable length of 22 to 40" (55.9 to 101.6cm).

This has been a handy little stand for putting a mic near the ground close to instruments such as a cello. The longer boom on it is handy, but to use it, a weight is required on the stand base as it gets tippy.
These mic stands are exactly what I was looking for in my minimal percussion setup!
