Astro Design Inc SC-2040B Analog RGB/YPbPr to Analog RGB/YPbPr Scan Converter

The SC-2040B Analog RGB/YPbPr to Analog RGB/YPbPr Scan Converter from Astro Systems is a scan converter that allows you to convert an analog RGB/YPbPr signal to analog RGB/YPbPr format. It features (1) base and (1) input, as well as (1) programmable output to manage the conversion process. The second input is displayed as a window on the base input and the position and size of the window is also fully programmable.

The unit features a proprietary scaling chip, TERA, which enables real-time conversion and eliminates motion artifacts. It additionally offers zooming, squeezing, and scrolling functionality. The color management circuit that manages the conversion process also allows for management of parameters such as hue, brightness, gamma, contrast, sharpness, and adjustment. Finally, an integrated test-pattern generator is included for verification and testing purposes.
