If you send a stereo output from a mixer through a stage snake in say channels 15 and 16 the XLR male to make adapter is Perfect for taking the female jack of the snake (which is usually used as a microphone input but instead is used as a main left or right output) and converting it to male so that you can attach mic cables to send to active speakers/amplifiers as mains or monitors. A life saver for small venues or diy sound guys.
