On-Stage KS7150 Reviews

Flimsy Construction - Semi-adequate

Given the amount of weight the manufacturer claims their stand supports (200+ pounds), it is nevertheless NOT solid. Further, the more you extend the width of the stand, the more unstable and shaky it becomes. Even a 40-pound Kurzweil KM88 controller does not feel very stable when played upon these thinly constructed metal parts. At $144, this stand is vastly overpriced. A far, far better stand - at little price increase - is On-Stage's WS8550 Heavy-Duty Large-format T-Stand, which is very solid.

Much better than the cheap X-frame that everyone has

I wanted a stand that looked a bit classy and not cheap looking like a regular X-strand, but above all I wanted a stand that had enough space for my legs and my pedals. With some adjustments, I was able to get it nice level where I wanted it to be. Can sometimes be a bit wabbly if you don't tighten the legs enough, but all in all it's definitely tough and much better looking, as mentioned, than the regular stands. It really makes my keyboard look great on it. Don't be like everyone else, buy this one instead of the cheap X-frames.

Does this stand work with a Nord Grand 2 with 88 keys?
Asked by: Michael
The On-Stage On-Stage KS7150 - Platform-Style Keyboard Stand could hold the Nord Grand 2, however, it would not be the most stable and will wobble due to the weight.

question

I have an idea for using this as permanently mounted legs underneath an electronic effects case that I want elevated when I perform but compact for transporting. Does anyone know if when the legs are folded flat, it is a level surface? (I'm also looking at the Ultimate Support JS-MPS1)
Asked by: Matt
The legs will fold flat, for easy transportation. The adjustable height of the legs allow for the stand to be made level on most surfaces.
