For those who don't have a PCMCIA laptop card slot for a VXpocket (Digigram does not support PCMCIA to PCI Express adaptors) this USB unit works great. Real plug and play - no drivers, can drive any headphone and sounds as good as the VXpocket. USB does indeed power the unit - no external supply needed. You cannot control the input level and pan from the computer as you can with a sound card, you must control the input level from the source.
