Comtek M-216 Overview

The M-216 from Comtek is a high-quality wireless microphone transmitter ideal for location sound applications. A 2.5mm microphone input lets you use the mic cable as an antenna. A 3.5mm auxiliary line input is available as well. When using the aux input, a loaded antenna may be connected to the 2.5mm jack. Use the transmitter with the PR-216 headphone receiver to create a confidential audio channel.

The M-216 uses a combination of both analog and digital technologies to offer the best audio quality possible, with low noise, wide dynamic range, and a great frequency response. It can transmit on 38 standard channels and 19 high-fidelity channels for full compatibility.

The advantage of this unit to me is that it uses 9V batteries, while my much more costly Phonak transmitter has batteries that are not user exchangable. I use the COMTK-M-216 to hear the PC audio output which is sent to my FM capable hearing aids. Also, it can be plugged in to a phone which has an audio output jack for excellent piped in sound to my hearing aids

I have had my M-215 for many years and the microphone jack seems to be failing - can this be bought separately? If so what should I ask for at a store that sells them
Asked by: J Nicola
You would have to call Comtek. They are the only ones that might have that part.
