Olympus ME-52W Reviews

Great for amateur home and family recording studio!

Great for amateur home and family recording studio! This transformed a local teenage live talent (and others) into a more public vocal recording artist! For home, recreational and public use - muffling background noise for voice recordings (Philips, Olympus, Sony offering MIC in). This added confidence, clarity, and the ability to self-critique in private during prep and rehearsal. Talent is now much more excited and willing to devote more time to prep result in amazing performances, more approval, more value.

Great!

The ME-52W was rec. in a Pocketalker review, along with the ME-15. Wilaa this be a significant improvement over the storck Pocketalker headphones, or should I pay double and get the ME-15?
Asked by: David
The Olympus ME-52W Noise-Cancelling Microphone (BH # OLME52W) should be an excellent improvement. over the stock, included microphone. We have not tested it specifically with a Williams Pocketalker, but we expect that there would be an audible improvement in the recording quality.

question

If you're going to run an extension cord for this, what should you use?
Asked by: Ellen B.
The Olympus ME-52W features a mono 1/8 connector and ships with a 3.3ft extension cable. To extend further a similar mono 1/8 male to mono 1/8 female cable would be required. Unfortunately we do not offer such a cable here at B&H currently.

question

how well does this work with a audio system... as in does it produce a lot of feedback?
Asked by: Anonymous
It will not produce feedback in and of itself. It is an improvement over the recorder's built-in mic.
