Lectrosonics ISO9VOLT Overview

The Lectrosonics Battery Eliminator allows UM series wireless transmitters to be operated from external power sources. The Battery Eliminator resembles a standard 9 volt battery with an external power connector. The kit includes a modified, hinged battery compartment door that exposes the connector.

The modified door may be used with standard 9 volt batteries, as well as the Battery Eliminator. 10 to 18 volt DC is converted to regulated 9 volt DC to power the transmitter at the battery terminals inside the compartment. The Battery Eliminator is an ideal tool while using UM series transmitters, operating on 9 volt batteries.

This lectrosonic battery eliminator is actually for a different style wireless transmitter. The transmitter on my body pack is an older style, but I was able to drill the necessary hole in the bottom retainer plate and it worked great. We now have a stationary wireless transmitter (and microphone) that we recently repurposed and placed out-of-reach. It is now AC powered and needs no battery.

Highly recommend these!

I put off buying these because of the price but now I wish I had purchased them a long time ago. For delivering audio from my audio mixer to the camera I use Lectrosonics 400 Transmitters and I was always checking to make sure the battery hadn't gotten low or died completely. And I was going through a number of 9V batteries every day. These have saved me a lot of money on batteries as well as giving me piece of mind never having to check the battery status of my transmitters.
