    Celestron 44206 reviews

44206 Professional Stereo Zoom Microscope is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice quality I had not used a dissecting scope since grad school more than 35 years ago. While my needs are not high, I aimed for quality. I am quite pleased. I am an avid nature photographer and purchased the scope to use to use for plant identifications. I also wanted the ability to capture images that go beyond macro photography to document key features. I saw ads for microscopes with USB digital image capture systems incluced. They seemed to be lesser quality and were not from B&H. I decided to go with this scope from B&H and try to find a means of capturing images later. When I started searching, I bumped into a buyers guide type ad that listed a Celestron Digital Microscope Imager. The retailer listed was B&H. B&H could have saved me about a month of decision time by listing the Celestron Digital Microscope Imager as an accessory for the Microscope. The imager arrived today and works well with the microscope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I am a horticulturalist and find this microscope useful to identify and examine plants and their diseases. But my wife and I also have a seemingly unending amount of joy finding new things to look at with it. It has really brought a new face to many of the everyday things I thought I knew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have bought it much sooner. Using the microscope to view rocks and minerals and it has added a new dimension to my hobby. Small pieces that I would have thrown out till now are becoming the centrepiece of my collection due to the clarity and definition that the microscope gives. Being mounted on a post makes it easy to view different size specimens and quick to obtain correct focus height. Eyepiece adjustment allows me to share wiewing with my 3 young grand daughters and can also view biological slides with them on it. Nothing negative to say about it at this stage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good bang for the buck but...... I needed a scope for plant identification and had been looking for a Nikon 645. I'd used one before and liked it. The best deal I could find, used, was over $. I came across this Celestron, new, for $ and decided to take a chance. I have not been disappointed. The optics are great and it has sharp focus. But... the upper halogen illuminator is a bit weak it puts off a lot of heat if it's turned up high. Still, I am satisfied. LED ring light available?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works better than expected! Well made. Clear wide image. To boost the halogen illuminator I use my LED ring light that I usually use with my macro lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I was counting on. Bright, sharp, large field. Use mainly for natural specimens. No negatives found or expected
