The Newtek SX-SDI is an SDI switching extension for the VT-4 live switching system. This device provides eight SDI inputs for the VT-4 live switcher; it also offers five outputs that extends the live switching function to an 8x5 matrix switcher.
Note:
SX-SDI requires VT[4] version 4.6 or later and the SX-84 for Operation
Digital Router
SX-SDI also serves as a signal router, with the ability to assign any of the serial digital inputs to any of 5 digital outputs.
Digital Audio
This hardware provides support for embedded audio and offers one AES/EBU input.
Compatibility
This digital hardware works in conjunction with analog hardware such as the SX-84; utilizing both these devices offer a mix of analog and digital capabilities within the VT-4 switcher.
