In a group situation this microphone is useful in connection with the Williams Pocketalker. I doubt that it is supercardioid, it is not claimed to be. Even greater directionality would be useful in distinguishing between talkers in an unruly group situation.

how big is the mic itself?
Asked by: Anonymous
The mic is about 8 long and 1/2 inch in diameter. The included windscreen is just an inch wide and the included cable is 50 in length.

What boom pole do you suggest for this mic?

What boom pole do you suggest for this mic?
Asked by: Patricia
The Williams Sound MIC 027 can be used with a shockmount to attach it to the male thread on any standard boompole, such as Rode's Micro Boompole (B&H# ROMICROBOOMP) or the On-Stage MBP7000 (B&H# ONMBP7000). Auray's DUSM-1 (B&H# AUDUSM1) and Azden's SMH-1 (B&H # AZSMH1) are both universal shockmounts which have a shoe mount for use on a camera as well as a 3/8" female thread on the bottom that attaches to the male thread on a boompole.
