I purchased a hanging ceiling rack for our camera room about 4 years ago and it was so simple to install and worked so well I could hardly believe it. We've since added many hanging wirers to the unit so the weight of the wires caused the camera to move when set. I called B&H and talked with one of their techs who offered a brreaking canera slide which I purchased installed took all of 10 min and solved the problem emeadiately for the total cost of $ including shipping. I would recommend B&H to anyone looking for camera equipment. Thanks for the great service Dave Harrison RepairClinic.

How does the slide brake operate?
It is spring loaded, so normally a small metal plate pushes up against the wheels. To release the brake, you pull down on the square wire loop, which pulls the metal plate away from the wheels, allowing the carriage to move freely. Note: you can still move the carriage without releasing the brake. The brake only applies enough friction to keep the carriage from moving freely.
