Moab Lasal Photo Matte 235 Reviews

Good stuff

I wish i was a better printer. I've made some stunning images. I use the proper profile. I think the paper bleeds the inks a bit but is the makes the sharpest images of any paper I've used. I love the mat. It is difficult to fold if you want to make cards. The grain runs the wrong way. I have trouble getting the saturation I want but generally good.

Again I Love The Paper But Not The Price

I Was Comfortable With What I Believed Was A Reasonable Price Of The Quality, With The Price Remaining At $71 Or Less For The Majority Of The Past Five Years I've Been Using The Paper But Now The Box Is Up To $84. The Vibrancy And The Color Reproduction Is Excellent For This Level Of Paper But I Can't Understand Why The Price For All Moab Products Is Going Up So Significantly In Such A Short Window Of Time. These Are American Made Papers And The Tariffs Shouldn't Be Affecting The Pricing. Inflation Shouldn't Be Causing This Much Of A Spike Either. 10-12% Increase In Less Than A Year Based Off My Orders.

What is the grain direction on the 13x19 paper, ...

What is the grain direction on the 13x19 paper, GS or GL?
Asked by: Ellen
According to Moab, unfortunately they produce all of their sheet paper in either GS or GL based on lot number. Due to our large inventory, we cannot confirm the ones we test will be the ones you receive. Moab's website says "Depending on the converting yields, we cut our sheets in both short and long grain configurations and record the grain direction in the lot numbers with either a GL or GS for 'grain long' or 'grain short' respectively." They mention contacting Moab directly for specific projects that require grain direction for information on specific batches of paper.

Envelopes are not included with the Moab Lasal Photo Matte 235 (7 x 10", 50 Sheets). Also, we don't carry 7 x 10" envelopes for this paper.

What's the main difference between Lasal Matte ...

What's the main difference between Lasal Matte and Entrada Matte? Which would work better for prints mounted to greeting cards? Need a soft velvet matte finish.
Asked by: Donna
The Entrada paper is thicker, 15.5mil. If you are mounting the paper to greeting cards, the thinner Lasal would probably be fine. As far as which one looks better would be a matter of opinion and might vary depending on the image too.

question

when it says pigment or Dye ink, does that mean it works with inkjet printers?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, Inkjet printers usually use Dye or Pigment inks. So that paper will work on most inkjet printers.
