Speedotron MW8QVC Overview

Most current, professional flash heads and monolights are equipped with user replaceable flashtubes that may simply be plugged into, and unplugged from their sockets. With proper handling, these flashtubes may last for tens of thousands of flashes under normal use.

This flashtube is UV-Coated, or UV-Corrected. UV flashtubes have a yellow appearance, and they counteract the excess blue 5700° or higher output of non-UV coated flashtubes. UV Coating lowers the color temperature to 5500°, which is the color of noon daylight on a clear day.

I had some older flash tubes that the color was shifting from the newer heads I have. Needed to replace them so that everything was coming in at the same color temperature. Solid speedotron build.

How can I use this 3200 Ws bulb at full power? The Speedotron packs have only outputs with maximum 2400 Ws (or 4800 Ws on the 4803 but it has a different plug)

You would need to own a Speedotron power pack that was capable of outputting 3200W/s and which used a flash head which used the above Speedotron MW8QVC Flashtube, UV Coated - 3200w/s - for 102CC Head. Unfortunately, as of the date/time of this reply, Speedotron has no power packs designed to output 3200W/s or higher other than the Speedotron 4803CX - 4800 Watt/Second Power Supply (120V), B&H # SP4803CX,

Is this the correct flash tube for my speedotron black line 102 heads? I use them with 2400 w/s power packs.

The Speedotron MW8QVC Flashtube, UV Coated - 3200w/s - for 102CC Head BH #SPFTUV102 is designed for the 102 heads for the Blackline.
