The RF-Video SPX-30A is an ultra compact and economical transmitter for sending broadcast quality video wirelessly for relatively long distances within an on-site location. Transmitted video can be picked up by any TV or VCR tuned to Channel 30 UHF Air, eliminating the need to acquire a separate receiver.
Going wireless has numerous practical applications in TV and film production. For example, it allows a director sitting at a video station to monitor in real time the progress of an episode as it is being shot by Steadicam operators.
It also allows news reporters to broadcast live as they are moving around an area or going from one person to another for interviews, without the limitations posed by the use of physical video cables.
