    K&M 18860 reviews

18860 Spider-Pro Double-Tier Keyboard Stand with Microphone Boom Connection and Tilt Action (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Innovative and sturdy The leg mechanism that unfolds is quite inventive and surprisingly sturdy. The lower, main support is continuously adjustable in terms of height, and capable of holding a full size 88 note keyboard easily. The upper support arms are fully adjustable in terms of height, but not angle, which is my main disappointment. The angle is too steep for my intentions of holding another full size keyboard. It just felt too wobbly, given the angle of the upper tier, and I wouldn't trust it from tipping over. If you intend to put a smaller, lighter keyboard on the upper support, for an occasional phrase of music, it will work perfectly. I re-purposed the upper tier to hold a fairly large mixing board, and for that it works beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built keyboard stand Because I've worn out many keyboard stands, I decided to take friends advice and try the K&M. It seems more practical than my past units, since the top keyboard tilts, the legs aren't in the way for pedals, and the way it folds seems less likely to break or legs fall inside the main column. I use the stand with a heavy 88 key weighted-action keyboard on the bottom and a lighter 76 note on the top and everything seems sturdy. I also purchased the optional iPad holder for it, which was worth the extra cost. I perform internationally, and venues don't always provide top quality stands, so holding up during travel is a concern. The only con I can think of at this time is being able to buy a decent case, not simply a bag, which would protect it better from airline baggage handlers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stand ... It's extremely easy to use and transport, stable, and completely adjustable as to keyboard height. Unfortunately, the microphone adapter is made of plastic and probably wouldn't last long but I have several steel ones to use instead. I now intend to buy the carrying case for the stand as it has a tendency to open up while being carried. Overall, I'm very happy with my choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This spider has style! I recently purchased the Spider Pro to replaced my old X style stand. This stand is currently holding a Yamaha Motif XF8 and a Korg Karma steadily! It's really sturdy and easy to fold and carry. It's design leaves you space by your feet for pedals. On top of all this, you can add additional accesories, like a laptop tier or extra keyboard tiers. Plus it looks awesome on stage! I am thinking of getting another one for my practice room!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid stand Great flexibility for keyboard height but the angle is fixed. This is a very sturdy stand with clean lines and clamps for cable management, but it's incredibly heavy compared to any other two tier stand I've seen. It's a bit clumsy to unfold until you get used to how the legs swivel out. On the plus side it folds up nicely. Would recommend getting the case or perhaps something in durable canvas to tote it around.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bottom tier wobbles The stand itself is strong although I would like to see the legs lock into position. I put a Yamaha MO8 on the bottom tier and it shakes. Not as sturdy as a scissor type. I like the mic boom feature except it should have come with a metal plate instead of plastic. It's lopsided in the carrying case because all the weight is at the legs. I'm still evaluating. Not entirely sure yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stand, strange mic attachment.. I love this stand, but with the weight of the mic and boom coupled with kind of a flimsy mic attachment, I wonder how long that part is going to last. I bought a quick release mic attachment so at least I'm not constantly screwing and unscrewing the boom. I hope it lasts forever, the stand itself is a tank!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Stand Use it for motif XF8 and Tyros 4. Very easy setup, i recommend purchasing carrying bag. Unfortunately it is not included. Pretty stable although the motif seems to wabble just a little when getting a little excited on the keys. Overall I rate it a 4 star.
