The WizCom QuickLink-Pen Elite allows users to scan, store and transfer up to 1000 pages of printed text to a PC, laptop, PDA, Smartphone or any Windows application via Infra-red or a USB connection.
This completely mobile device offers users a quick and easy way to take notes from almost any printed document, creating fully editable text documents. The QuickLink-Pen Elite even has the ability to read your notes aloud, and includes an extensive English dictionary.
The QuickLink-Pen Elite is ideal for students, doctors, business people, or researchers who need the ability to quickly and easily take notes whenever and wherever they might be - in a library, on a plane, or in a business meeting.
Scan and Store up to 1,000 pages of text in English (additional scanning languages - German, Swedish, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and French are supplied on CD ROM for optional installation).
Optical character recognition (OCR) recognizes 6-22 point font size text (bold, italic, underlined, inverted) at 97% accuracy. There is also a preference setting for numerical and inverted text recognition
Transfer stored text to PDAs (PalmOS and WinCE), Smartphones (PalmOS and Windows Mobile 2003) or PCs via IRDA Infra red connection or transfer stored notes to PCs via USB connection (and automatically create MS Word documents).
The QuickLink-Pen Elite reads aloud the scanned notes using the text to speech function, either through the built-in speaker or headphones.
Display the definition of any word in the notes, using the included American Heritage Concise Dictionary.
Allow real time scanning directly via the USB connection into any Windows based application, with the scanned text appearing at the cursor point.
Scan and store small images that can then be transferred to a PC.
Compact and ergonomic design measures 6 x 1.5 x 1" and is also lightweight at a mere three ounces.
Includes the following applications on CD ROM for special applications:
- Address Book - scan business cards and synchronize with a desktop or PDA address book such as Outlook.
- Table Builder - scan data in spreadsheet format and transfer directly in to MS Excel on a PC.
- Internet Links - scan URLs and transfer them directly into Internet Explorer favorites list.
