The RF-Video PM-20M is an industrial grade yet affordably priced FM transmitter for use in professional broadcast studios. Audio is broadcast fully synthesized in the 88-108 MHz frequency range and does not require manual adjusting or tuning. A host of internal controls, including special audio limiters and band filters, ensure outstanding clarity and fidelity through all of its available frequencies. Front panel rotary dials provide easy power output level adjustments, from a minimum low of 0 to a maximum high of 25 watts.
Outstanding Sound Quality
All bells and whistles aside, the key characteristic that any audio transmitter should be measured by, is of course its sound quality. Thanks to a number of internal controls such as special audio limiters and band filters, this unit is capable of achieving extraordinary high signal to noise ratios, resulting in outstanding sound quality with the clarity and fidelity comparable to that of a car's radio.
Electronic Protection
To ensure that listeners are not suddenly presented with a deafening silence, this unit incorporates a number of electronic controls that constantly patrol the unit's function for any sign of abnormal operation. When they encounter a potentially crippling problem like an over voltage (O.V.P), transmitting frequency error (LOCK), mismatching (VSWR) or over temperature (TEMP) they immediately take appropriate action. In most cases, bringing the unit's power output down a notch will solve any or all of these problems.
Deviation Limiter
A built-in deviation limiter keeps the unit from reaching a maximum frequency value that over-bounds the limit agreed by international standards. This will prevent an operator from accidentally over modulating a frequency and causing broadcast infiltration into adjacent channels.
High Frequency Stability
A built-in DPLL (Digital Phase Lock Loop) circuit with low drift quartz ensures high frequency stability throughout short and long term operation.
