The black F-8 Domke Small Canvas Shoulder Bag is made to carry a small DSLR camera kit consisting of one or two camera bodies, two to four lenses, a flash unit, and accessories. This is a very well made and up to the usual Domke standards. It's small size leads to some problems for me listed below. I'm a Domke fan, especially the canvas bags and I got caught away from home where I have a closet full and needed a small bag for a small kit. X100VI, EF20, three filters, extra batteries (2), possibly battery charger. This all fits nicely leaving half the main compartment for last minute items (and the charger). Because of the small size and (surprisingly for me) a heavier canvas than I'm used to, the bag is definitely stiffer and pockets stretched tighter than might be otherwise. The end pockets will just take the EF20, the other end pockets two filters and an extra lens hood. The pockets on the flap hold my spare batteries. Front pocket takes one of the main compartment dividers plus two filters, each in their own plastic case (side-by-side) stretching the pocket end-to-end. Used in another way, I can swap the X100VI for a X-T5 with Voigtlander 27mm f/2 and some incidentals. Removing the inserts on the main compartment, the X-T5 with 16-55mm f/2.8 MkII (hood REVERSED) will squeeze in with ZERO room to spare. The hardware clamp on this bag is a bit smaller than on my larger bags and I think is responsible for several of the down-ratings on that clasp. It IS hard for my experienced hands to unlatch it single handedly. Whether this will break in with use remains to be seen. My canvas material in my ruggedwear bags seems to be a lighter weight material and may be a more appealing choice in this small bag footprint. I still like that this F8 has a removable bag strap making it easier to secure the bag to something permanent when working on a shot setup. I'm keeping the bag and dedicating it to the X100VI. I'll use it with the XT5 and 27mm just when I want that FL for some street work Still a Domke fan, but if I had handled the rigidity of this fabric before purchase, I most likely would have looked for something slightly larger (but there isn't in the Domke line that fit my other requirement). The end pockets are definitely not purposed for any water bottle that I have at my disposal.

Would this hold a Nikon D850 with a a 35mm 1.8 and a 50mm 1.8, preferably with one lens attached, and one in the bag?

The Domke F-8 Small Canvas Shoulder Bag (Sand) could carry the Nikon D850 DSLR Camera with either the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens or the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G ED Lens attached. There is not enough room for both lenses.

The feel of the Domke F-8 Small Shoulder Bag - RuggedWear is very subjective. It is, Canvas Coated with Wax and Oil. It is not sticky. And most find it fine and not annoying.

Yes, you would have room to stow a second lens such as the 18-135mm as well. My previous reply was in consideration of your primary lens left attached to the camera ready for taking pictures; this reply also takes that into consideration.
