Ansmann 5044123 overview

  • 1Description

The Ansmann Power Battery Grip is a powerful and versatile accessory for the Nikon D80 SLR digital camera. It replaces the standard battery source with its own built-in, rechargeable, high-capacity battery pack (non-removable). In addition, it provides a vertical grip, which makes holding the camera in the vertical orientation as easy and secure as in the horizontal position. And it even provides a shutter release button and main-control dial for the vertical position.

The built-in rechargeable Li-Ion 3600 mAh battery eliminates the need of having to charge and carry around multiple battery clusters. The built-in battery can be used for thousands of pictures before having to be recharged.

Built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery
Increase your shooting capacity on a single charge
Provides a tripod mounting thread so you can still mount the camera with the grip attached

Power Battery Grip for Nikon D80 Digital Camera is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Long Lasting and problematic I purchased this grip as an alternative to getting the Nikon grip and additional batteries. That makes it only one piece, so less equip to keep track of. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge this pack, but once charged, you can shoot thousands of shots(Its rated at 5000). There were some disappointments: The vertical controls feel very cheap, and could benefit from a better design. The base of the the grip is big, and the tripod mount threads were spaced too far back to use with my CustomBrackets Flash bracket without modifying the bracket. Then finally, it simply stopped accepting a charge( the LED is non-responsive) and BH is referring me to their U.S. Distributor since its a German company. If I had to choose again, I would have went Nikon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better value than OEM product What I like about this is that you do not have to buy a charger or additional batteries. You can give it a fast partial charge for emergencies. If you use a Standard flash bracket it works and fits fine. So far no problems. I love it.
