The MTX-486 RS485-2 Data System from Panasonic is a transceiver designed to offer a point-to-point communications system that can send or receive RS485-2 wire data over a single multimode optical fiber. This system is also designed to be compatible with the Panasonic PS data protocol, including the RJ-12 interface. Diagnostic lights on the unit provide a quick visual indicator of line status and function. This model has a rated wavelength of 1310nm.
