question

Will it carry a HD-SDI (1.5G) signal 500 ft?
Asked by: Gerry
I work at a tv station as well. We have found that 300 to 350' is max then you have to reclock your signal. If you have the test equipment, look at the eye pattern of your signal thru the cable. You will be able to see the degradation.

question

is this rated for use in plenum?
Asked by: Anonymous
No. Refer to the Belden Master Catalog for the plenum version of this cable. I believe it is 1695A but that part number may have changed.

question

There is a comment that the reels are consistently coming up short in length. Sometimes as much as 100 feet. Has this issue been addressed?
Asked by: Anonymous
sorry, not much able to help with this question. They could be short and I wouldn't have noticed it.
