Are there electronics built in that take 48v to 15v phantom power? I'd be using with a Tascam X8.
To use the Countryman Isomax Headset Microphone with 3-pin XLR Connector (Beige) with the TASCAM Portacapture X8 32-Bit Float 8-Channel Multitrack Field Recorder, a 12V to 48V in-line transformer is required. The PSC A4812 48V to 12T In-Line Barrel Adapter is the recommended device for this application.

This will work with a professional video camera that has XLR inputs and a 48 volt power supply, although such a setup is very uncommon.For this kind of use, lavalier mics are usually preferred as they look more discreet.
