Ensemble Designs BE90 Overview

The BrightEye 90-A HD Up-, Down-, Cross- & ARC-Converter with Analog Audio from Ensemble Designs is a converter that can be used to up-convert, down-convert, or cross-convert analog and digital video signals. The unit can also perform aspect-ratio conversion. A built in frame synchronizer allows you to input asynchronous signals and an external reference input allows for genlock to a house reference. The unit will faithfully pass all vertical interval data and closed-captioning information.

This unit can also handled up to (16) channels of embedded audio and (8) channels of analog audio. Embedded audio is safely bypassed around video processing. Two of the four embedded audio groups are available for mixing. The analog input-output ports can be configured for (8) channels of incoming or outgoing audio. The mixer can also be used with analog audio.

The front-panel interface offers control of input selection, gain control, and test patterns, among other parameters. The unit can also be controlled through the BrightEye software package that is included with the unit and compatible with both Windows and Mac platforms. LEDs on the front panel provide a visual indicator of channel status.

Please note that a power supply is not included with the unit and must be purchased separately.
