Primatte Keyer v3.0 from Red Giant is a software plug-in for After Effects. The plug-in is a green-screen tool that allows you to extract keys from any color background, simply by sampling the background color and clicking. Primatte overcomes matte extraction difficulties such as working with DV and HDV material, uneven lighting, subtle shadows, and edge light contamination.
Ease of Use
Primatte features a simple user interface for creating mattes. You'll be able to pull keys after a few mouse clicks; no sliders are necessary. It even features a split-screen view mode for more efficient keying.
Advanced Keying Features
The software can tackle many advanced keying problems. It is able to extract transparent objects, such as water, smoke, and hair. It can even deartifact all video formats, including DV and HDV. Primate features Alpha channel adjustment, secondary spill removal, Color Matching, and Light wrap, all built into the keying interface.
Compatibility
Primatte is compatible with Adobe After Effects. It works on the Windows and Mac OS X platforms.
