The Audix MB1280 Miniature Condenser Microphone measures only 3.5" (90mm) in length and features an integrated preamplifier. The microphone features a sensitive capsule and wide frequency response that's ideal for capturing both vocals and instruments alike. A detachable 25-foot long cable features a mini XLR-female and standard XLR-male connections. The included Microboom is a 50" (127cm) long carbon fiber boom arm with clutch assembly for mounting onto stands. The low-profile boom is lightweight and ideal for capturing instruments overhead, group vocals and ambiance.
The MB1280 is available in a variety of pickup patterns and this model features a cardioid capsule. The cardioid polar pattern provides adequate off-axis signal and feedback rejection, while providing a generous pickup area at the front of the capsule. A wide variety of applications include choir capturing, overhead cymbals, speech, ambient room capturing and percussion.
