    Photoflex 870409 reviews

Transpac Dual Kit Case is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great case for light stands & C stands I am using this case for my collection of light stands and C stands. My previous case just wore out from too much use. This one has a lot more room in it, has lots of velcro separators, and has 2 wheels for dragging it around. I'm not sure it would be heavy duty enough for a constant plane traveller, but seems like it would survive plane baggage. With all my stuff in it, it's REALLY heavy, so the wheels come in handy getting it in and out of my Prius. It's also very reasonably priced. The only downside I can find is the 2 zippers seem fairly flimsy and are hard to zip. Maybe some WD-40 would help. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from big, but maybe too big I knew it was going to be big and hold a lot of gear but it does seem a bit too bulky. Others have said its too heavy, but bviously if you load any case full of photo gear it will get heavy so thats not really an issue for me. But the length seems a bit too long and the angle you have to roll the bag to keep the bottom from dragging is very awkward and puts a lot of strain on your arms, instead of comfortably rolling through and airport or location. It is tough though, I would feel comfortable checking this with gear in it. Even though the wheels stick out, which I thought would be a bad idea, it does seem pretty strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of room; need a strong back I purchased the Transpac to house a complete(at least in my mind) location lighting kit. All my location gear is Alien Bees and the Transpac holds the following with room to spare:the Vagabond Battery Pack, 3 light heads including their cables and standard reflectors, a Ringflash, 1 12ft. stand, 2 8ft. stands, 40 Matthews Grip Arm, 2 60 umbrellas, 1 86 PLM reflector, 1 50 reflector and a small grip bag with clamps, extra cables, etc. Needless to say, this case holds a tremendous amount of gear. It appears to be built solid and I think it will stand the test of time, much like the rest of my Photoflex gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big case - lots of gear but heavy Purchased this case to consolidate location equipment. I was able to replace a pelican case, duffle bag and light stand bag with this single unit. In all I place in this rolling bag 4 AB1600's 4 light stands, 4 long throw reflecters, 4 50 foot extension cords and still have some left over room. lots of space. Only downside is the inside fabric does not appear to be overly durable. cordura nylon would make a vast improvement - also - consolidation brings lots of weight to a single bag - so take that into consideration. *I can handle it, but my wife cannot - so far I like my new option Steve

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unsure about this one... Read all of the reviews and was excited to be able to carry all of my flash gear in one bag. Didn't turn to be quite as roomy as I had expected. Fits 3 AB800s with cords and std reflectors, and barely has room to stuff in 2 13' light stands. In the other 2 sections I have extension cords, a 7 circular grid, and the grid for a strip light. In the cover I have a 36 umbrella and that's about it. Used to carry the stands in a bag along with the 3 Bees in their std round bags - wasn't too bad. All together, this is a fairly heavy and somewhat unwieldy load. Also, to wheel this bag it has to be held at a 45 degree or more angle...not well designed there as it required the pulling handle to be held about 4 feet off the ground.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The perfect size... with some faults I have been looking for a bag that would hold both my strobes and my light stands. My kit includes three White Lightnings, about six light stands, softboxes, umbrellas, power cords, clamps and other accessories. This bag was the perfect size. There are a couple drawbacks. I was initially concerned about the price difference between this and other high end bags. The top of the line Lowepro and Thinktank roller bags cost about twice as much. As with most things you get what you pay for. While the size of this bag is perfect for my needs there are a couple quality issues. As mentioned in a couple other reviews the zipper is questionable, it just doesn't feel solid like other high end bags. The padded inserts are very low quality and there are not enough of them. With a bag this size there should be a variety of sizes included so as to best organize the bag for your particular needs. This is a perfect size bag for my needs. I wish it was a little higher quality, but I guess I could by two of these for the price of one high quality version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok design let down by poor construction This is a good size case for carrying two stands (long ones), two heads, their reflectors, umbrellas, cables, etc, etc. It is completely let down by the use of a no-name zipper that in my case was a struggle to open the first time and came apart the second time I tried to unzip it. Why not use YKK, that seem indestructible. Instead the puller comes off the zip slider and the case becomes useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect location studio bag I love this bag!! I can fit: 3 Alien Bee B800's w/ Reflectors, Power Cords and grids 4 Nikon SB-28 hotshoe Flash 3 Impact Tripods 1 Impact 9.5 HD Tripod 1 Wescoott Boom Arm 4 umbrellas 2 Med Foldable Softbox!!!! 50ft Heavey Duty Extension cord and a bunch of little things, this bag fully loaded with my gear is about 75lbs. The rollers are top quality and are silent when rolled, not the hard plastic sound u get from the cheap wheels
