TC Electronic C400XL - Dual Gate/Compressor

The C400XL from tc electronic is a dual gate/compressor of particular interest to the touring professional, but that is equally at home in the studio. The unit combines multi-band compression with a super-silent, click-free gate along with an intuitive interface for ease-of-use.

The C400XL delivers two independent engines that themselves can be set to either compression or gating. Additionally, both engines can be used in multiple configurations that include serial mono, serial stereo or stereo.

Presets are provided for all types of audio input and can be partially adjusted for specific situations. To protect against excessive "overs", a transparent limiter with an exceptional tolerant headroom structure, is automatically active on all preset types. All presets, except for "Hiss/Hum" also trigger dedicated Gate/Expander settings tuned to the various preset materials.

Digital inputs that automatically detect if a valid digital signal is present are available alongside the analog inputs. If the signal is invalid, then the analog inputs are used. MIDI I/O is provided for uploading any future software revisions and the internal power supply accepts any voltage from 100 to 240 VAC.
