This titanium-colored,SLIK Pro 700 DX Tripod with 700 DX 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head supports up to 19.8 lb, measures 29.9" when folded, and includes a quick release plate. Each of its 3-section legs features an independent spread, a 3-position angle lock, and flip locks for fast deployment. The included push-and-pull, rapid center column is multi-sectional, which allows it to be converted to a shortened center column. This feature permits a minimum height of 25.4" or 16.1" when the center column is shortened. The SLIK Pro 700 DX Tripod provides a maximum height of 60.0", 65.8" with its center column shortened as well as fully raised, and 75.0" with the complete column fully raised.

Cameras, sport optics, or camcorders that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the quick release plate, which is secured to the tripod's pan-and-tilt head using a quick release cam lock. The head can be rotated 360°, and tilted 90° backwards or forwards, as well as sideways for portrait orientation. Each of these three movements function independently of each other and can be locked into place.

For added versatility, the center column is reversible, facilitating low-angle photography where an attached camera is positioned among the tripod's legs instead of above them. Foam covers on each of the legs provide a secure and comfortable grip while moving the tripod, and rubber feet help to enhance stability on a wide variety of surfaces.

Pro 700 DX Tripod with 700DX 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head (Titanium) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 423.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solod Platform Fully assembled I would give it 5 stars. It appears to be rock solid, easily adjusted and able to handle heavier equipment. I graded it down for two reasons. One, it came with no instructions. Assembly is not rocket science but it is supplied with adjustment knobs of two different lengths and I could not screw the longer one in completely. With no instructions I wondered if they sent the wrong part. Two, I eventually had to protect the knob handle with a leather glove and grasp it with a vice-grip to completely seat it. Once seated it functioned normally and I could loosen and tighten it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tripod I was considering a first tripod for my camera (Nikon D5200). After looking at many different websites with reviews for camera tripods, a seasoned photographer of 25 years recommended this model as a excellent choice compared to more expensive makes and models. After reading many many very positive reviews here and on other websites like @, and @, I saw the model and decided to give it a try. Assembly was very easy indeed, a piece of cake. Tried the new tripod out taking 10 second exposures at night. It was a bit windy but weight of this tripod kept my photos free of camera shake. For a first tripod, I would certainly recommend this model to anyone needing a sturdy, well built camera tripod. You will NOT be disappointed :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tripod, flexible and sturdy... This is by far the better constructed tripod I have owned to-date. What compelled me to purchase this was the weight support the tripod offered. I was debating between a ball-head or Pan/Tilt and after much research it would appear the pan/tilt is better suited for bigger DSL-Rs. The downside being it would require a bit longer to adjust. Overall, I have used the tripod in night photography under windy condition and the tripod was very stable. The tripod is very easy to adjust and can extend well above 6' ft if needed. Lastly, it is a bit heavier than what I am used to, so plan ahead if you need the tripod prior to the trip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in Class! Wow, what a great tripod for the price. I have had it for about 2 weeks and I am not experiencing the jerkiness that I have noticed others talk about. When this tripod is set-up and in use, it is a tank. I was photographing the moon last night in high winds, 35 - 40 mph and no movement at all. I love the lack of droop when I lock the head in place. I don't think you will find a better value than this tripod. It is a bit heavy, but that equates to stability which is the reason for a tripod in the first place. I love the fact that you can flip the tubes and get right down to the ground with your camera. Overall, best tripod I have ever owned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Far Exceeds Price As a photography hobbyist, I research and then purchase the best equipment my budget will allow. This tripod was money well spent and the quality far exceeds what I paid. Personally, I appreciate reviewers who post reviews after they have used the product for a lengthy period. I have owned this tripod for 1.5 years now and have no complaints. I have used it for photographing/videoing the sky, the ground(macro) and everything in between. It is well made and has held up through all my travels. It is extremely well built and very versatile. For this price range, it is one of the best if not the best! I recommend it without any hesitation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The legs are excellent; the head less so I use this tripod/head mostly for macro shots, and occassionally for general photography. The legs are excellent; solid, easy to use, and they adjust from a low ground level to a heighth over my head. All locks are positive and well made. Such a well made set of legs does come at the cost of some increased weight. The head is OK for general use, but for the demands of macro work the movement is not very precise. The handles have some slop in them when loosened to move the head, and this slop combined with the imprecise movement make this head less than optimal for macro work. If I could do it over again, I would order the legs only and a good ballhead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected! I love this tripod. One reviewer had negative comments about the quick release. I see this as one of its strengths. The release is a two step process, which makes it very safe. It is taller than I expected. It is more solid than I expected. It is heavier than I expected, but not a problem. The built in bubble levels do not seem to be accurate. My only wish is would be for a smaller quick release mount. It is too big to leave on my camera all the time. I am 6' tall, this will extend taller than I can see, not a bad thing, I can get a stool if I want a higher angle. I also wish it could tilt back further. But I am being too picky, this is a solid tripod

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Images don't to it justice This is a big serious tripod. ... And heavy. But it's awesome and built like a tank. For the price, it's amazing. If you're dainty and don't want to lug around a heavy tripod, this isn't for you. But if you don't mind the weight and you're looking for a very steady platform at an affordable price, this is the tripod for you. If I have to pick a negative, the nobs and movable parts are a little stiff and sometimes tough to manipulate smoothly, but I'm sure that will be better once I break it in. I also wish they added the Allen key in with the tripod to make adjustments. Now I have to hunt through my closet to see if I have one :)Overall, very happy and impressed.
