Studio Projects CS5 overview

  • 1Description

The CS5 from Studio Projects is a large-diaphragm studio-condenser microphone for project and professional studio-recording applications. The microphone features switchable omnidirectional, cardioid, wide-angle cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-8 polar patterns.

In addition, four high-pass and low-pass filters greatly reduce noise. Its pressure gradient capsule and FET output stage translate to optimum audio performance even with long cable runs. The CS5 is great for capturing single and group vocals, instruments, and speaker cabinets.

    Studio Projects CS5 reviews

CS5 Multi-Pattern Studio Condenser Microphone is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Belongs in the upper echelons of microphone greatness The Studio Projects CS5 belongs in the upper echelons of the worlds studio greats. I know that's a big statement to make, so here's why: 1. It reproduces transients fast, 2. it's smooth yet punchy and very clear across the frequency range. 3. It's sound is wide open and not hyped or forced in any frequency. 4. Because of these things I find it reproduces sources (vocals and hand percussion is how I use mine) very honestly. 5. Finally In addition to being open sounding, it also presents some interesting tone shaping possibilities with it's low-pass filter and multi pattern versatility. As for build, it's very heavy and it inspires trust. I've had mine for nearly two years and I'm very very happy with it. I'd recommend this for serious vocal recording work.
