The VisualGate Systems VueKIt VK-601 surveillance kit contains the components necessary to set up a home or business monitoring and recording system based on Powerline technology. The kit consists of the VueCAM VC-202 camera, the VueBRIDGE VA-601 converter and the VueSOFT VSW-202 DVR Application software.
This is how it works: The VC-202 IP camera plugs into any AC outlet in a room or hallway and starts sending high quality digital video over the building's existing electrical wiring. The VueBRIDGE VA-601 then receives this signal coming out of the AC outlet and converts it back into a standard Ethernet signal recognizable by the network router. Once converted, camera images can be viewed from virtually anywhere in the world over the Internet.
With the included VueSOFT VSW-202 DVR software, images can also be recorded to a PC hard drive for future review. As with a stand-alone DVR, this software supports time, date and motion based recording, and can be programmed to send alarm alerts to multiple email addresses over the network.
