Considering the price, I'm pretty disappointed. I've been using it for about a year now, and in that time, I've treated it as harshly as I treat all my other mic stands. It hasn't held up. Yes, it is basically a metal tube and no amount of reasonable abuse will ever actually render it unusable, but for the price, I expect the paint to stay on every time I bump it in to something or drop it. Every time it gets dropped, paint flecks come off. Considering this stand is specifically designed to look good at all costs, that is TOTALLY unacceptable. I paid way too much for something that will have to be replaced every 6 months for cosmetic reasons under normal use.
