The Lectrosonics MCA5X Plug-On Transmitter Adapter is a handy device with XLR male and TA5 male connections. The adapter converts Lectrosonics headset and lavalier microphones with TA5 connections, so that they may be used with Lectrosonics plug-on transmitters (UH & HM series). Phantom power is passed to the electret-condenser microphones, eliminating the need for an additional bodypack transmitter for any reason.

I want to use a couple of Lectrosonics M-150 lavs as hard-wired backups to my normal gear. The stated compatible models are: Lectrosonics HM, UH400 and UH400a. M-150 uses a 5 pin female TA5 so will it also work with this adapter?
The MCA5X will work with all Lectrosonics mics wired with a 5 pin female (TA5) connector, however it is designed for use with their Plug On transmitters only. It will NOT work when connected to a microphone input on a mixer or a recorder.
