The Dot Line DL-DRF14/C Macro TTL Ringlight Flash provides full TTL control (including E-TTL II) with both digital or film SLR cameras. This allows for accurate exposures of closeup subjects. When shooting at extremely short distances, relatively minor movement of lighting and subject results in relatively large changes of exposure. TTL metering eliminates the need for lengthy calculations of exposure, because the inherent loss of light at macro distances can automatically be accounted with ease.

Dot Line DL-DRF14 Reviews
worked well at first

Used for macro and close-up shots. Nice even lighting and enough power to allow macro at f22 at ISO 200. TTL works well. The instructions say to let it sit for a few minutes after X number of shots, which is inconvenient. I got some really good shots but then it started firing before the mirror flipped up! Got an RMA and sent it back, I hope the replacement will be OK.

question
What does 100-200 flashes mean? Is this per battery replacement or the life of the unit?
The 100-200 flashes refers to the number of flashes per battery charge.

question
Hello I need I ring flash for a photo booth but I would need it to have its own power adapter not batteries any one that yo could recommend?
The Dot Line Ring flash you picked is for macro shots not portraits. If you want one that can produce a wider and brighter light so it is fine for photographing more than one person and larger than head and shoulder shots you will need a much larger ring flash. And it also depends on the camera model. It is best you call or come in to chat for this question so we can discuss what is best for you.

question
I'm trying to reduce or eliminate the shadow caused by those wearing baseball-type hats outdoors. Can this be used as a fill-flash at 15 feet?
This would depend on the angle of the shot. You can eliminate that shadow with any flash as long as you use a low angle. Keep in mind this flash is aimed toward macro photography. It is not very powerful for long distance. I have not tried its threshold, but I would not use it more than 6 feet. To eliminate the hat shadow you can also use a white reflector from a low angle with any flash if there is some environmental light. Try that before purchasing anything you might regret.
