is this a mini XLR connection at the shock mount?
is this a mini XLR connection at the shock mount?
No. The top of the shockmount has a standard XLR female connector so that the connector from a gooseneck mic can plug directly into it.

question
Is there an XLR connector on the wire or will you need to solder one on?
The built-in XLR onnector is attached to a 6' Balanced Line Cable which would need a connector.

question
I see a wire coming out of the bottom of this mount. Can snyone please tell me what it is?
That wire is about 6 feet long and is bare wire on the end. You use those wires to add the connector type needed for your application. In my case I added a XLR connector so a wireless transmitter could be used. That same connection could be attached to audio jacks built in to the floor that feed a sound system.
