This is the second one I purchased. It holds 2 Samson C02 pencil mics. These are a little more expensive than the Samson mic bar, but the extra maneuverability has come in handy a few times.

Does the third mic get mounted on the center ...
Does the third mic get mounted on the center screw after it comes through the bracket? There are the joints of the adjustable arms there, I'm concerned there isn't enough space or thread length left to mount a third mic there.
I've never tried to mount a third mic; the bar is designed to allow mics at each end (so just 2) to mount securely but also be able to be swiveled in relation to the angle of the bar. The two outer sections pivot, and the pivot can be made loose or firm depending on how firmly the pivot screws are set. I use these bars to set up stereo mics, frequently in the xy arrangement. Hope this helps.

question
would like to confirm, are the left and right mic mounts and knobs made of metal as appears in photo, also are they standard US mic thread (5/8 I think)? and, is the center bracket and hardware also metal?
Everything is sturdy metal except the part of the cap on the mic mount screw you turn to tighten. Even that is sturdy not cheesy. Standard thread to fit atop a mic stand. I mounted mine to a clamp. I had a little issue with the alignment of the clamp tightening screw and the nut on the center hardware making a little challenge to tighten, but even that was no big deal.
