This Aquatica Remote Control Release allows you to fire the camera from a distance. Possible applications include: Pole camera operation for shark or whale photography. Also long exposures on a tripod mounted housing for deep wreck photography. There is also a host of other scientific or professional photo uses.
The Trigger assembly is made of anodized aluminum and is connected to the housing's bulkhead via a standard Nikonos to Ikelite strobe cable. The cable can be lengthened by adding an extension cord. One end of the inner cable is attached to the housing's secondary bulkhead. The other side gets plugged into the camera's electronic cable release socket. You can now trigger the camera from a distance. You can still attach strobes to the main bulkhead. The fact that no permanent modifications are required means a fast conversion to the standard Aquatica housing configuration. You can also revert back to two bulkheads when you are not using the remote.
