The 648 FireWire 800Mbps Fiber-Optic Repeater from Comprehensive/Kramer is a bidirectional optical repeater that can extend the distance of your fiber-optic cable runs via FireWire 1394a and 1394b. When used in pairs this solution can extend transmission distance up to 1640'. It supports transfer rates of 100, 200, 400, and 800Mbps. This unit belongs to the DigiTOOLs family of products and (3) units can be mounted side by side in 1U of a standard equipment rack by using the separately available RK-3T rack kit.
