The BIONZ processor enables the Face Detection technology on the HDR-UX10 camcorder. This system recognizes up to 8 faces anywhere in a frame automatically adjusting focus, exposure and color for the most natural skin tones in each image while leaving background images unchanged.
Dynamic Range Optimizer 2
Never worry again about capturing images on bright days or in low-light conditions. The BIONZ processor powers this high-speed processing engine that automatically adjusts the scene for you. Bright highlights are brought down, preventing whiteout and preserving detail even on the sunniest of days. In low-light or backlit settings the Dynamic Range Optimizer brings out detail in shadows resulting in a natural and clear scene.
Built-In Zoom Mic with 5.1 Channel Recording

Film Roll Index 2
Sony makes finding scenes quick and user-friendly with the Film Roll Index 2. Much like the chapters in a book the index helps you find the video scenes you want by previewing the beginning. You also have the option to display scenes at intervals of 3, 6 and 12 seconds or 1 and 5 minutes.
Face Index 2
The ingenious Face Index 2 technology lets you find the video scene you want by face. Choose from the faces displayed in the index and the scenes in which that person appears will be selected.
HDMI Connection with Bravia Sync (CEC) Technology
