Four (4) 13-foot Bogen light stands fit in this bag, built with sturdy material and a solid zipper system. Worth every penny.

If you are only going to have one bag for all your leggy tools, this is the one! It is long enough for turtle base c-stands and other 48 inch max length gear. For big load ins, I'd prefer several of these bags over a big roller bag - to spread out the weight. Would be nice if it had short loop handles in addition to the shoulder straps.

Has anyone checked this bag on a flight? I own it and would like to use it for a travel kit but not sure if it would withstand the “handling”.

This is an unpadded bag that offers minimal to no protection for your gear. If is were my gear, I would only consider it for my hand-carrying the gear to the vehicle and back. At the very least, you would have to consider a padded bag like this: Ruggard Deluxe Padded 48" Tripod Case (Black) B&H # RUBD3048. Something like this would be best. It is wide enough to carry (2) full size 40 stands and the (2) detached turtle base feet as well as a coleman and detached turtle base feet.
