The SAX1R from Bogen is an Unbalanced Stereo Input Module. This bus assignable module has a stereo-to-mono summing option with stereo RCA connectors.
I have a Bogen sound system in our wedding venue event center. It is a fantastic system for our event center. We use it with wireless microphones and other various audio inputs. The problem is that I have replaced four of this SAX1R module in as many years due to premature failures. Failure has only happened to this particular stereo input module and not to any other module type I have installed. I am hoping that this replacement will have a longer life. The B&H sale price was fantastic and the reason I decided to replace a channel that was not working, but not used much.
The Bogen system works great when it works. I have 2 microphone input modules and 4 of the SAX1R unbalanced stereo modules. Since purchasing the amp and the modules in 2012, I have now replaced all 4 of the SAX1R modules. So far the replacements that I have installed are lasting longer than the original modules. A couple of notes; 1: on the microphone modules, I have not replaced either one and, 2: my entire system is protected by good surge protection. B&H shipped quickly and offered a great price on this module!
