I have had no problems with this boom pole so far. Only been used a couple times but for being on a low budget, this pole replaces my old aluminum pole. No handling noise, light weight, strong. I just keep the XLR on the outside so no issues with threading it with an interior XLR. I'm a videographer, not a professional sound man, and I'm shooting a creative project with students, so for how much it is used, it works well.
