The CX212B Studio Condenser Microphone from Audix is a high quality microphone designed to handle professional and project studio recording. It features a wide frequency response, providing accurate detail and rich audio signal. Cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-eight polar patterns deliver maximum flexibility when recording instruments and vocals. A low-frequency roll off switch suppresses low frequency hum, rumble, and proximity effect. The CX212B is suitable for a wide variety of acoustical instruments, vocals, string sections, ensembles, and ambient room miking. The microphone offers discreet low noise preamp circuitry and operated on 48 V of phantom power. The microphone includes an isolation shockmount, an aluminum carrying case, and an adjustable metal mic clip.

    Audix CX212 reviews

CX212B Studio Condenser Microphone is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderfully Present and Natural Sound Bought a few weeks ago to record an acoustic song for a client with vocals. Great, forward sound on the Cardioid setting. Allowed for easier placement of the vocal within the recording with my client. Appreciated the additional polar pattern options and the hi-filter - easy fix for correcting a somewhat boomy guitar. Fairly sturdy construction, head basket grilles are evenly spaced - allows for even clarity across the breadth of the capsule. Shockmount works well, adjustment screw looks like it will last a long time. One or two minor issues: vocals come out just slightly cloudy, but not much; and the case(while it is designed to hold the stereo pair) is unreasonably large. Overall, good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Vocal Mic I've been using it for close to 3 years now for recording voiceovers, studio vocal tracks (singing) and even an acoustic guitar. It has provided smooth, rich sounds that make me look forward to recording vocals. It's in a completely separate league from the standard live mics like the SM58 and similar... this looks and sounds like its well over $1k.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Mic, Great Value Bought this for a client using it for Piano in an auditorium (for recording). Sound is really nice, smooth and clear. The mount is very nice, I like how it threads into the shockmount, also came with a solid mount clip too. The multi-pattern adjustment was the main selling feature, as they did not have a mic with that option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice Nice mic, has depth and nice imaging. Can't wait to use it more things besides my guitar.
