Given the warning I am assuming this won't work with the new Pentax K-1?
I am using the 300mm f/4 with a 3-year old Pentax K-01 and they work great together. The only minor problem is that with that big lens in autofocus mode it uses the battery pretty quickly. I just keep a spare battery handy.
