    VariZoom VZ-TK75A reviews

VZ-TK75A Aluminum Tripod System is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod!!! I use this tripod when shooting video with my DSLR camera. The pan and tilt are very smooth and the legs are rigid. Nice features with the mid level spreader, padded bag and the long telescopic pan handle. I have worked with very high end equipment for many years and to find equipment that emulates gear that costs thousands for less than a couple hundred bucks is pretty incredible! The head has adjustable tilt friction but not adjustable friction for the pan. Fortunately the pan friction has a good feel to it. I have showed this tripod system to many of my friends in the TV industry and they all want to purchase one also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tripod for the price I'm a professional videographer. I use this tripod for commercials, weddings, and corporate videos. For the price, this product is very nice. It's lighter than the more expensive tripods, the head is easy to use, folds easy, and has a smooth pan and tilt. The quick clip attachment can be awkward if you are in a hurry to detach or re attach the camera. The level bubble works well, even though I've read bad reviews on this feature.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaky I've had this tripod for four years. Pan and tilt is smooth. Quickplate release isn't quick. It occasionally gets jammy on the slide. The lever for tightening the plate is placed in a poor spot and it's hard to get your finger in there to release it. It's definitely a cheap-feeling tripod. In the photo you see the fluid is already leaking. While it hasn't rendered the tripod useless yet, it's incredibly sticky and occasionally gets on your fingers. This is incredibly annoying. You can hardly get the stuff of your fingers without resorting to tape. Because of this defect I can't recommend this tripod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good buy, I like it Light but sturdy and has smooth motion for pans and tilts. I use it for the Canon XA10. The best thing about this product was the customer service from B&H. I asked them, is this a fluid head and they said no it's a friction head as are all tripods in this price range. I've seen the term fluid head tossed around a lot and it was nice to get an honest answer. I had seen a demo of the tripod, liked it and bought it. I am glad I did. Only drawback is that the drag adjust does not make a lot of difference but the smoothness of the motion makes up for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for the money. For the price, there is no beating this. I've worked with $ -$ tripods with fluid heads and a bowl leveling system. I would never put more than 10 pounds on this and it wouldn't keep a 47' slider stable by itself (duh, I was a little too hopeful on this), but for the price, it is going to be perfect for me and my videography business. I had it over my shoulder in the bag while filming a conference the other day and the weight didn't leave me with any discomfort. I would easily be okay with hiking out a few miles with this thing because I know it will keep my shots stable. Very happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value I now have 2 of these for each of my cameras. You can't get a better deal for the money. The legs are stable and the head pans very smoothly. It does, however, tighten up noticeably when shooting in cold weather so just keep that in mind. The handle that connects to the head was defective and wouldn't tighten properly...BH sent me another handle at no charge at all so now it's perfect. Also, I put a manfrotto quick release plate on it for interconnectivity with my 2 cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod well made and stable I use this for shooting indoors and out with a Canon DSLR and a larger Sony Handycam. Pans and tilts smoothly you can add drag gradually and lock it in if the camera is front heavy with a lens. Sometimes I have less experienced users help out and they all have done quite good work panning and tilting smoothly. I wish it had a light on the leveling bubble for those rare occasions I am in the dark setting up but I can see it fine with my cell phone when needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome tripod I am a video professional and have just had this tripod for only a couple of days since I received it. And I must say I am very impressed with it. Great sturdy construction. The fluid head is amazing. I shoot mostly interviews and documentaries, so this has been a god send. Love it.
