Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for digital negatives, bad for projection Let me start by saying that these are not for you if you need something to place on an old school overhead projector. The highly absorbent ink-receptive layer that makes these excellent for inkjet printing is a slightly frosted blue that will make overhead projection painful to look at. That said, these are excellent for contact printing for any photographic process. If you want to make a digital negative to contact print in the darkroom or use to expose, say, a screen for screen printing, this is the choice for you. Paired with a high quality inkjet printer (especially one that uses pigment inks which better block light), this will yield excellent results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use to make photo negatives for sun prints I have been using this product for about a year as I perfect my process for sun prints using Inkodye and Lumi sun sensitive dyes on natural fabric. They print well using a mid-level photo printer. You have to be careful because one side is waterproof and the side that takes the ink from the printer is not. So if during your process the wrong side gets wet, then the negative is damaged with water marks. You must also be careful to print on the correct side or you will get a smeared mess that also clogs the heads on the printer. Each individual transparency is too expensive to be making mistakes. I double them for the sharpest images.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Making digital Internegatives I am following published procedures to make full scale inkjet internegatives using OHP film and an Epson 1270 printer. The internegatives are then contact printed onto fiber based Ilford paper in the darkroom. The process and material works pretty well, as long as you don't look too closely, as there are some inkjet artifacts visible at close range. Nice product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll definitely buy this again! ... Okay to the actual Pictorico paper, I'd have to say that it is the best paper I've used for my photos that I develop myself. The paper is very durable, and it has a nice weight to it also. The only true con I have for this paper is the price tag, but I think I can live with that price. Well that's about it, and I would definitely recommend this paper to any pros, or just regular people that need to work with this sorta paper. And I would highly recommend this paper over any nock-off company, because you really need to go with this instead...trust me. One more thing I'd say order from B&H ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Digital Negatives This has proven to be the best medium for making digital negatives for contact printing when a large (8x10) film negative isn't available. I won't use anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and easy to use I used Pictorico Transparency Film for an alternative processes class and it is fantastic. We used it for everything from making digital negatives for Cyanotypes and VanDyke Brown's to printing off shapes to use for lumen printing. Not only was the product easy to use but the uses you can find for it are endless. I used an inkjet printer with the film and it worked great. It dries quickly and there is no smudging. The negatives I printed on them were crystal clear allowing me to get really sharp detail in my prints. I liked it so much I ended up buying 3 more later just to have some at home to try different techniques with after the semester is over. I only used it for black and white printing but I am sure it would also work great in color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pictorico Transparency Film I used Pictorico transparency film with an Epson 2400 inkjet printer to print black and white photographic images and it worked beautifully. It absorbed the three kinds of black ink fast and produced a clear image, just as if it were printed on regular photo paper. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of transparency film, either for printing text or photographic images.
