The Lexicon 480L has, for many decades been the "gold standard" of high-end digital reverb processing, being featured on a majority of studio albums since its introduction. But progress is an inevitable fact of life. With the 960L, Lexicon has updated the classic to provide true surround sound reverb along with world-class stereo processing.
The 960L supports eight channels of balanced analog I/O and eight channels of AES/EBU digital I/O, available in various configurations. It comes standard with one DSP card and provides support for an optional second DSP card that doubles the available processing power. It comes standard with Automation and LOGIC7 UpMix options.
The included LARC2 remote controller is the user interface for the 960L and has been totally redesigned and enhanced. Fashioned after the original LARC, the new LARC2 provides a simple and intuitive user interface with a large, easy-to-read color backlit LCD display, eight touch-sensitive motorized faders, a two-axis joystick for surround sound panning/placement control, eight soft and twenty-nine dedicated function keys.
