44320 Digital Microscope Kit is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent quality for the money reasonable quality despite the plastic construction. USB camera is very useful - much easier to observe than with an eyepiece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good first microscope A gift for my 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son. Solid construction event if all plastic. Lens quality is just ok, but you have to spend near 100$ if you want something better. Still way better than lots of toys in the same price range. The USB cam is not worth the buy, stick with cheaper regular microscope. The twin lighting system works very well. You can't go wrong at this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Quality Microscope and assordable I have been using this microscope for several months. The lighting under is adequate adn the top lighting helpful at times. For better clarity however I use a side flashlight and the mirror when backlighting transluscent specimins. Camera is decent-good quality, plastic contruction is no problem and sturdy. My only two minor drawbacks is that I prefer the upper housing moverment instead of the specimen plate and the bottom light LED lens has anoying glare adn hard to adjust. For ameture students and all aroung good starter microscope I defeinetely recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Price is right for a lot of fun This microscope is good for the beginner interested as a hobby. It has two light sources, one above and another below (by rotating the mirror upside down. It comes with a pipette, tweezers and plastic slides and vials. The accompanying software is nothing to write home about. Go to oasisscientific.com (http://www.oasisscientific.com/downloads.html) and try out the downloads available there at no cost. I found oasis.exe provides full screen coverage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Model #44320 Microscope Digital Kit (MDK) by Celestron Celestron Digital Microscope is a fairly good stand alone product. Great tool for experimental purposes. I wanted to use it for digital pictures for textures. As a Manuel microscope it gets the job done. Digital wise no good. I find its software to be out dated for my system.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from El Cheapo This can't even be classified as a kid's toy. The image quality is extremely poor, the focus is lousy and it is flimmzy plastic that, undoubtedly, will not last long. I would not recommend this to anyone that wants to get a closer look at anything.
