We purchased this for our existing Celestron NexStar mount and were pleasantly surprised when it also powered our new mount. This piece saves us from having to purchase TONS of AA batteries for the mounts. As we have several portable power supplies with A/C output, this was a perfect match for our specific needs. If you’re someone who’s just using their telescope in the backyard, this will be perfect with an extension cord.
I use it with my celestron nexstar 6, it is great, don't have to spend money on batteries. It works perfectly.
