Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mighty little clamp ! I've used these for years in various studios I worked at. Now that I have my own business, I only buy grip equipment that I know is reliable and proven over great lengths of time. I've always used these on the end of a Manfrotto Magic Arm ( get the variable friction one ) to hold flags, gobos and cutters when shooting table top products. They are often made from or attached to a dowel rod. These 171 clamps also can accept a stud on the top of a light stand or another clamp. A valuable piece of grip equipment I can't do without.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Champ Clamp Manfrotto quality. Clings like an heir to a lightstand, I use this one to hold a Pocket Wizard. This clamp's versatility goes way beyond that though. I have on occasion attached it to a small ballhead and put it on a little tripod to hold/aim a flashlight for some tabletop shots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clamp On Dude.. You can never have too many clamps to get your camera in just the right spot. I shoot a lot of video with small still cameras. Unless the camera is rock solid the footage is mostly junk. I use this clamp to attach my articulating arm which holds the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clamp of many uses I have a dozen of these in my studio and use them every day. They are well built and hold up to a lot of heavy use. There are so many different ways I use these in my studio and on site that they have become indispensable.Highly recomended.
